Today, indie-alt rock artist Frank Mighty – the alter ego of Calgary born and Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist John Traboulsi – shares new single “The Coast” taken from his upcoming EP Never Homesick. The upbeat indie anthem beautifully captures the cathartic joy of summer, and contrasts it with melancholy sounds and feelings in a uniquely Frank Mighty way. Produced by frequent collaborators Matt Kahane and Quin Kiu, and Frans Mernick (A$AP Rocky, Foster the People), the magnetic melodies of Never Homesick will also feature previously shared singles “Unattainable (Keep Me Close)” and “Big Red”. This thumping, synth-laden track features the era-defining artist La Roux, who made a surprise appearance during Chromeo’s Coachella sets, premiering “Replacements” and performing her iconic hits “In For The Kill” and “Bulletproof.”

Calgary’s Miesha and The Spanks are back with a new full-length album, Unconditional Love In Hi-Fi, that raises the high bar set by their 2021 Singles EP while celebrating the super-duo’s debut on Mint Records. Flaunting their affection for the wild roots of ‘70s and ‘80s rock, these ambassadors of badassery serve up a tableau of après-garage ringers that would bring The Runaways themselves charging back home. Brimming with raw and uncompromising hooks, awash with Miesha Louie’s instantly recognisable vocals, these two are taking their vibrant sound to the next level. Having been on the road non-stop during the build-up to this LP, the Western Canada tour is now underway with the Eastern Canada run soon to follow. Dates can be found below.
